Get a clear insight into conceptual reasoning skills. Discover who quickly recognizes patterns, coherence and key issues.
Abstract Reasoning is used for selection and advice issues where conceptual thinking is important. The test is particularly relevant for functions where overview, analytical insight and distinguishing between main issues and side issues are essential. Abstract Reasoning can be taken separately or as part of a broader measure of intelligence (Cognitive Ability).
Abstract Reasoning is an adaptive test that measures abstract reasoning ability using series of figures. Candidates discover patterns and apply them logically to choose the right successor. The difficulty of the questions automatically adapts to the candidate's level, making the measurement accurate and efficient. The test contains over 200 questions, from which the system selects the most appropriate one each time.
Abstract Reasoning has been rated positively by the COTAN and offers a reliable, adaptive way to measure conceptual thinking ability. The test prevents frustration by matching tasks to the candidate's level and quickly provides a valid result. The report shows an IQ score and compares the candidate with relevant standards groups (from VMBO to WO). Customized options are available, such as reports without an IQ score or with specific standards groups per educational level.
